I started my training at the Counselling Foundation, St Albans, went on to study Philosophy and Psychotherapy with The Philadelphia Association, London, and gained my Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at WPF Therapy, one of the UK's leading psychodynamic and psychoanalytical training bodies, in affiliation with Roehampton University. 

My work is also shaped by specialist training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with The Centre for Trauma and Embodiment, Boston, a pioneering organisation in the integration of body-based practices for trauma work.  I also incorporate other gentle, body-based techniques in my work, using well-established methods such as Emotional Freedom Technique and guided visualisation. These techniques can be particularly helpful when working with trauma, anxiety or stuck patterns that might not respond to talking therapy alone.  

Before training as a psychotherapist, I managed large-scale change programmes in the public and private sectors and, before this, worked in a variety of customer-facing roles, from managing complaints for an insurance company to working as a tour guide in a living museum. 

I keep my skills and knowledge current with ongoing professional development and am a registered member of the BPC and FPC.
